Another Recent Success Story from a Satisfied Client

Wednesday, January 7th, 2009

My EB2 was rejected initially. I received my education at the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.  My associateship in the Institute was considered by the Indian government to be the equivalent of a Master Degree in Accounting. Therefore, I filed for an EB2 visa that required a Master Degree on the labor certificate.

When my application was denied, my attorney insisted on having my evaluation completed by Sheila Danzig. I did not know who she was, but my attorney stated she was my best chance. My attorney was correct.

Using an expert opinion letter and a document evaluation, Ms. Danzig’s agency was able to demonstrate that my associateship was equal to a U.S. Master of Science Degree in Accounting. The motion to reopen (MTR) filed by my attorney was approved as a result of the foreign degree evaluation completed by Ms. Danzig and the professionals at Career Consulting International.

Case Study: Foreign Credential Evaluations: Success for Another 3 Year Degree student

Monday, December 1st, 2008

If you have a three year degree and have had an RFE or denial, don’t give up hope. We received the following testimony recently from one of our former clients:

Good news for 3 year degree holders

Finally after extensive research I found an education eval agency which is proven to work even with NSC RFE (As per my research NSC reportedly had more denials after RFE responses for people with 3 year foreign degree). Keep up your hope guys and try,degreepeople.com.

Sometimes the appeals process for people seeking immigration visas can be time-consuming and costly, not to mention the emotional energy and stress this can create. Neither CCI nor any other educational evaluation agency can guarantee that their evaluation reports will be 100% successful in any situation. The expert research accumulated by Ms. Sheila Danzig and Professor John Kersey, however, has resulted in a very high success rate for the foreign credential evaluations completed by The Degree People.

Don’t waste your time and energy fighting an RFE or denial – choose an agency that fights for you.

Case Study: Chartered Accountancy Certificates = a U.S. Master Degree

Saturday, November 1st, 2008

A client approached us for assistance with an RFE from the USCIS regarding his Chartered Accountancy (CA) Certificate from India. The RFE stated that the USCIS did not believe that his CA was the U.S. equivalency of a Master Degree, which was the requirement for his employment visa.

Career Consulting International was asked to deliver a foreign credentials evaluation of the client’s Indian Bachelor Degree and CA certificate. In our educational evaluation, we were able to demonstrate that his foreign degree and certification was indeed the U.S. equivalency demanded by the labor certificate.

The USCIS reviewed our evaluation report and determined that we correctly evaluated the client’s education. As a consequence, his visa was approved.
